Brent Giltner
VP - Engineering
Brent Giltner joined Scout Cold Logistics in 2024 as a Vice President – Engineering. In this capacity he oversees maintenance of key systems at all Scout assets (cooler\freezer, power, fire, roofs, etc.) to ensure safe and risk-free performance, appropriate capital investment, maintenance management best practices and customer satisfaction. Brent is responsible for creating and implementing Scout’s annual asset capital budgeting, plus plays a key role in Scout’s acquisition due diligence processes.
Brent has more than 25 years of experience in facilities and key systems maintenance oversight, including the past three years as the Southeast USA Regional Engineering and Maintenance Director at Americold Realty Trust, a publicly-traded, global leader in temperature-controlled storage and logistics. Brent brings significant experience in Process Safety Management from developing/implementing programs while working in the chemical industry for over 10 years serving as a Maintenance & Reliability Leader at PQ Corp in Sulfuric Acid Regeneration and within a division of Koch Industries making Anhydrous Ammonia Fertilizer.
Brent holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from South Dakota School of Mines along with numerous refrigeration, energy and maintenance reliability certifications.
