Dan Barr joined Scout Cold Logistics in 2025 as a Vice President – Construction.  In this capacity he leads design, permitting and construction of temperature-controlled build-to-suits, building expansions and tenant improvements on-schedule, on-budget, with the highest quality and safety standards and strong customer satisfaction. 

Dan brings more than 30 years of experience in the food industry, including roles in maintenance, operations, operations improvement, engineering and project management. Prior to Scout, he has held positions at major food manufacturing companies, such as Oscar Mayer, Heinz, Campbell Soup, Nestlé, and two start-up food companies.

Dan served 23 years in the Army Reserve as an enlisted member in Aviation and an officer in Engineering. Dan volunteers with his local County Conservation Commission in his free time.

Dan earned an MBA from Williams Woods University. As an undergraduate he earned a  B.S. Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University of Science & Technology.
